Staff and dentists always kind and thoughtful! The are professional from when you walk thru the door - to the exam room and back out again. They LISTEN when you talk so I feel for the time I’m there we develop a friendship of sorts. Plus I experience very little pain from any procedure I’ve gone thru for the past 8+ years. Making sure your teeth and gums are all healthy is their main objective at which they succeed.
My husband had 5 teeth pulled. When he was still bleeding at 2 spots, they asked us to come back. They stitched the area which stopped the bleeding. Dr Johnson and staff went above and beyond by staying after hours to help my husband. Because of that, he's doing great. Thank you, Dr Johnson and staff! You're the best!

I came to this location when was visiting my son in the area. I absolutely love Dr. Johnson. When I moved to East Texas, I decided to stay with Tier 1 bcause they have such great service. I drive over 4 hours to get here and will keep on as l9ng as I need dental services.
I am a returning patient to Tier One Dental. They are always professional and friendly, and there is never a wait! I love them so much I made my daughter and husband switch dentists. We are all please with our care.

I wanted to share how amazing Tier One Dental Seguin is. I lost a crown and even though I wasn't an established patient, they worked me in quickly. Once there, the staff was very helpful and kind. I had hardly any wait before they called me back to the room. Dr. McCown had a great bedside manner, was gentle and thorough. He was able to replace my crown in less than an hour. I have always had an aversion to white coats and dental tools, but luckily they cater to cowards! No pain at all!!! Not even with the bill! I couldn't be happier with my experience! Dr. Johnson is one of the best dentists I’ve ever been treated by and I can barely count the number I’ve seen. In addition to being “up” on the current world of dentistry, he communicates EVERYTHING he’s doing and is very concerned about his patients’ comfort. His staff is also excellent (shoutout to Tacey) and they always display kindness and concern.
Saw Dr Brett today for a crown. IT'S amazing as they make their own in house. Dr Brett and Samantha were great. Didn't feel a thing. As of 2.14.25, I am starting to have pain when I eat or drink. It's Saturday so I will get back in soon as possible so we can figure out what is going on. Will update. Originally had a cavity in a tooth they felt they needed to fix and cap but not root canal. Hopefully that can still be so.

This isn’t the first or last time I will leave a review for tier one. I have been going here for a few years or so now. They are genuinely awesome!! Dr. Johnson made sure my tooth was fixed up for me without any issues and as always they were very patient with my gag reflex which makes it hard to get to the back of my teeth. Shelley is always so amazing every time she cleans my teeth. She is by far my favorite! I highly recommend this dental office always.

So I arrived at Tier One Dental one early morning, and I was greeted by very, very sweet and kind front desk ladies, who immediately knew who I was (I'm a regular). I get called into my room, by the lovely Tacey, my favorite Dental Hygenist at the office. We talk, a very long talk, she's extraordinarily friendly, and she really showed off my pearly whites. It was her mission to ensure the cleanliness of my calcium dentures, and she did a great job. Overall, my experience was highly satisfactory. 10/10 would go 3 times a year.

I have always had anxiety when it came to going to the dentist. I am so happy to have found Tier One Dental because they are so good, so understanding, so gentle when working with me. I have actually almost fallen asleep in the chair and that has never happened in the past. It’s a warm friendly atmosphere and I always recommend them to my friends . They are honestly the best!

My daughters appointment kept getting cancelled and managed to get an appointment on the day, the dentist we saw was Kamwal Afsha and she was amazing, her interaction with her patients is fabulous, and her passion is definitely noticeable, she’s a true asset to yourselves, I couldn’t recommend her enough, keep doing what your doing, you will go far in life .

Let me start out by saying I hate going to the dentist, but Tier One has been fantastic. Everyone at their office is exceptionally kind and understanding, they explain everything they are doing. They made something I hate doing, not too bad and I can't give them much more paise then that.
After being in extreme pain for 3 weeks and getting the run around from several dentist offices one of my customers told me to go to Tier One Dental. From the front desk, to assistants and billing we’re extremely professional, nice and explained everything well. Dr Johnson was excellent, and took the time to explain everything in great detail so I could make an educated decision as to how to proceed with my care. Will be seeing Dr Johnson next Thursday for my procedure. Thank you Tier One Dental…

They have the nicest staff and very qualified staff. I love that they text me reminders about appointments and also call to check on you after a procedure. I moved from Seguin 16 years ago but still drive an hour for my dental work.
Dr. Johnson is EXCELLENT at pain management and after 2 extractions, extensive dental work and other more routine dental care, I can say that he is the best all-around dentist that I have EVER used in my 93 years of experience!

I had an emergency (broken tooth) on a Thursday evening. Tier One was able to squeeze me in on Friday morning between their regular appointments. Dr. Johnson and staff did an amazing job on procedure and informing me of options and follow up care.

Definitely recommend! I was having pain/teeth sensitivity and they were able to get me in the same day. The staff was very helpful when I called to make the appointment, did not try and rush me off the phone, and were patient with all my questions. Dr. Johnson was very thorough and let me know all my options without being pushy. Literally every staff member I came in contact with was friendly and made me feel at ease. If I had known how great my experience would be here I wouldn't have put off going to the dentist for 4+ years!

I absolutely love Tier One Dental. They have the best staff and dentists around. I never have to wait long, and everyone is so friendly. They make sure I’m comfortable and explain everything that is going on. I would give them a million stars ⭐️ if I could.
Competent & qualified staff. All the employees are very friendly & professional. Dr. McGowan is efficient- doesn't try to give you any more treatment than what's needed. It's clear that a lot of thought went into patient comfort in building this practice ... from the warm reception & waiting room beverages, to the well-stocked bird feeders at each oversized window in front of every exam chair... Turning what is normally a dreaded experience into a pleasant one.
I started with Tier One a little over a year ago and I have to say this is the best dentist office I have ever been too. All of the staff is so nice and very kind. They treat you like a human and not just an income which I feel is very important in this day and time. I have high anxiety when it comes to doctors and dentists and every time I visit Tier One they treat me like they should knowing I have a disorder I cannot control. After todays visit and them dealing with my horrible gag reflex for impressions (having to do them 3 times) I am even more certain then I already was before…. THIS IS THE BEST DENTAL CHOICE!!! Thanks TIER ONE staff all of you are amazing.
Due to neglect, I have bad teeth but this road ends here at Tier 1 Dental. A new set of dentures is coming. These past years working with doc McGowan I have seen many teeth retired and all the assistance from their staff have been a big part of that plan. Very grateful for all the advice and work.

Went in today for some fillings and Anna and doctor Johnson took real good care of me...I've been coming here for several years now and I must say it's been the best office I've been to..When I get my Anesthetic shot I hardly feel anything and they do the job rapidly and efficiently..From the moment I walk in to the moment I walk out I am treated with the outmost respect..I totally recommend this dentist and I promise you won't be disappointed...They will welcome you..And to me this will be the only place I ever come to..
I’m fairly new to the seguin area and was in a hunt for a new dentist, which I thought would be difficult considering the high amount of anxiety I have when it comes to the dentist. I had very damaged teeth due to a domestic violence situation paired with heavy previous drug use and these guys were super great from the first visit. They helped me get a plan together (that were still working on), and I had to put the bigger plan to the back burner to care for my daughters teeth first and my wedding. My front two teeth were in the worst shape so I obviously wanted to fix that before the wedding. I went in and Dr. Johnson completely rebuilt my front two teeth with composite bonding. But, while he was there, he threw in a sweet surprise! He also fixed a few other small areas in the smile zone as well!! I am so beyond thankful for everything they have done for me. I was able to confidently smile marrying the man of my dreams.

Ever hear the expression: “You’ve tried the rest, now experience the best?” Tier One is indeed top; in service, communication, understanding and expertise. My last year’s two dental implants was probably the least painful experience ever; Dr. Johnson did an incredible job. Even after moving to north San Antonio a couple of years from Seguin, Tier One remains my dentist office of choice.

We have been using Tier One Dental for MANY years. While sad that Dr Henry retired, I'm thankful to have Dr Johnson and Dr McCowan. The staff at Tier One is so special. Never have I felt like I was taking up their time..theyre super friendly and acknowledge me when I walk in the door!! Shelly Cerda and DeeDee Burns along with the staff at the front desk will make you feel like family! Update 9/03/21 Just wanted to thank Crissy and Dr Johnson for taking care of me today! I came in with a cracked back tooth. He made a temporary crown for me. I am not a fan of the drill as I've had dentists hit a nerve while the area wasn't deadened. Dr Johnson gave me one shot (in the back cheek) that didn't hurt at all. I asked for a little Nitrous Gas..which I really didn't need afterall, but it did help me relax and still be awake. It took about 90 minutes total and I walked out with a temporary..the deadening wore off immediately and my hubby took me to lunch. Tonight, still no pain. He's my new favorite dentist! Thanks so much for making this a good experience!! I was very impressed by Dr J's knowledge of all the new techniques!

The Friday before Memorial Day, my front implant fell out. Yes, I looked like a hillbilly. My regular dentist was on vacation and the office recommended Tier One Dental and made my appointment for me. From the time I walked in the door, Tier One blew me away! They came up with a cosmetic solution due to my time constraint and took my dentists future needs and possible concerns into consideration from A to Z. Tier one had my back and I’m forever grateful!
Got there this morning in severe pain and they were able to go ahead take me back did xrays and within a good hour had my tooth extracted and I had a great experience Deff recommend this office. Dr. Johnson was great 🙌🏻

My biggest issue with coming here is that I always start to doze off while I'm "in the chair." If you afraid of the dentist then this is a good place to overcome those fears!

I don’t personally have dental problems so can’t speak to how they handle that, but their service for someone like me without dental issues is always punctual, efficient, and friendly. I also appreciate the willingness of the doctor to put findings into layman’s terms. Tammy is a fantastic hygienist, too. I’ve been going here for over two years and haven’t been disappointed!

Any questions I had were always answered and they always work with your schedule to get you in as soon as they can and when it works for you. You can also text message the office and they will answer any questions that you have and can always reschedule an appointment for you. Pretty awesome.

I have always been scared of going to the dentist, because of bad experiences in the past. I am currently 31 weeks pregnant and has a tooth that cracked in half a few months ago and I kept putting it off until I absolutely couldn’t handle the pain anymore. My friend told me about Tier one and they got me in the very next day. The whole staff was friendly when I walked in and Dr.McCown was very honest with me and was able to pull my tooth the same day. He was very gentle, made sure I was completely numb, and talked me through the whole process calmly. The staff at tier one changed my whole experience with dentist and I will continue to go there. They even texted me this afternoon to make sure I was doing okay and didn’t need anything before they left the office. I highly recommend tier one to anyone that has ever had a bad experience with dentist, they will change your whole perspective!

I have been afraid of the dentist for over 30 years after a bad experience with one. I finally got up the nerve to go and looked for a place with sedation dentistry and tier 1 came up. From the moment I called I was greeted with friendly voices and faces. My nerves never acted up and they were all friendly and caring. I especially felt comforted by Jenny the nurse she stayed with me the entire time. I especially am excited to come back again I would recommend Tier 1 to all my family and friends.
Everyone there was friendly. Went in 2 days ago to look at a problem tooth. Went in today, greeted by name by the dentist walking in the door, and we had only met once. He took time to make sure multiple times throughout I wasn't in pain, and everything was numb. Was relatively quick. Will go back for more mouth work.. Editing to add in. Had pain a bit longer than. I expected after the extraction. I called them, set an appt the following day, walked in, they checked it out to verify it was healing fine, put some stuff in it to ease the pain a bit. No cost to me.

From the first phone call for an appointment, I have been treated courteously and professionally. I knew I was in the right place because I was treated as a valued customer and patient. The people at Tier One have provided me the absolute best dental care of any place I have gone in my life. The staff is friendly, they always know your name and when your appointment is. When it is time for an appointment, I am always seated in the treatment room on time. I always feel like I receive full value for my time and money. I have received excellent care and advice for treatment going forward. I trust the doctors and staff to give me professional, honest, and considered opinions and options for my continued care. I am always pleased to have those options discussed with me rather than lectured to me. I am completely satisfied with Tier One Dental. I visited the Tier One practice for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. The hygienist was thorough but efficient, and very friendly. Dr McGowan was brief but also informative about my dental health and helped me on prevention. I was impressed by the stylish and clean office, and how quickly I was helped through a first-time visit.
